Arrival & Departure
For the benefit and safety of all guests, please ensure the entrance gate is closed securely after entering and departing the property. We appreciate your cooperation with the following arrival and departure times, unless a prior arrangement has been made:
- Check-in: 14:00 – 19:00
- Check-out: Before 11:00
Delayed departures must be arranged with management in advance to ensure availability. It is your responsibility to ensure your travel arrangements allow you to arrive on the correct day and at the appropriate time. Late check-ins and late departures, which are only possible with prior arrangement, will be charged at a rate of R60.00 per hour.
Guest & Property Policies
It is your responsibility to arrange for appropriate personal travel insurance. Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.
Seaview Manor is not a pet-friendly environment, as we have our own monkeys, dogs, cats, and birds on the premises. Please note that unregistered or non-paying guests are not permitted on the premises.
Guests are required to act in a manner that is considerate of others and does not infringe on the tranquil enjoyment of our facilities. Guests may not bring any flammable, dangerous, or illegal items, including prohibited drugs, onto the property.
Facilities & Liability
The facilities provided include, but are not limited to, the swimming pool, braai area, bicycles, downstairs garden, dining area, designated uncovered parking, and wireless internet. While every effort will be made to ensure these facilities are available, Seaview Manor will not be held responsible in the event that any of these are unavailable during a guest’s stay.
Please note: The swimming pool is unfenced. Guests are fully responsible for their own safety and the supervision of any children at all times around the pool area.
Please be aware that the tiled and paved areas, both internal and external, can be slippery when wet. Guests are urged to exercise caution in these areas.
Seaview Manor cannot be held responsible for the loss of or damage to any valuables brought onto the premises. Guests will be required to pay for any items they break or damage anywhere on the premises during their stay.
Bookings, Cancellations & Rates
A deposit of 75% of the total booking amount is required to secure a booking.
- Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total booking value.
- Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date will forfeit the full deposit.
Management reserves the right to change rates without notice; however, rates quoted for confirmed bookings will be honoured. A copy of your ID document or passport, along with your residential address, will be required upon check-in. Right of admission is reserved.
Health, Safety & Indemnity
Health & Sanitation Protocols
Seaview Manor has implemented all recommended health and safety procedures as instructed by governing institutions and the WHO. We have always employed stringent safety and sanitation protocols, and we will continue to do so, including special measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases like COVID-19.
In the interest of everyone’s safety, your understanding and cooperation with our check-in procedures are appreciated. These terms and procedures are agreed to upon booking.
As a guest, you agree to the following:
- I will inform my host as soon as possible should I, or anyone I have been in contact with, present with any of the following symptoms: high fever (38°C or higher), dry cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, redness of eyes, body aches, loss of smell or taste, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, or unexplained fatigue.
- I understand that upon entering the property, I will be required to undertake a non-invasive infrared thermometer test daily. These tests will be conducted by management, and I will ensure my entry and exit times are reasonable and will inform my host of my arrival in advance.
- Any guest with a temperature reading of 38°C or higher will be denied access to the premises until cleared by a medical practitioner in writing.
- I am aware that I may be required to wear a face mask in public areas.
Indemnity
I/We understand that Seaview Manor has implemented the necessary safety procedures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within the establishment, and I/we choose to make use of their facilities at my/our own risk.
I/We, the undersigned, accept that the use of all facilities (including sleeping accommodation, the swimming pool, bicycles, and common areas) is entirely at our own risk. We take full responsibility for our personal safety and that of our children while on the premises.
I/We acknowledge that Seaview Manor has animals on the property (monkeys, dogs, cats, and birds) and that we choose to stay on the premises at our own risk.
I/We understand and accept that Seaview Manor is equipped with an unfenced swimming pool and that we use it entirely at our own risk. I/We take full responsibility for the well-being and supervision of my/our children regarding the use of the swimming pool.
I/We hereby undertake to indemnify, hold harmless, and absolve Seaview Manor and all its staff from any and all claims whatsoever that may arise in connection with any loss or damage to property, or injury, contagion of any infectious diseases, or death to any person arising from the use of any facilities provided by Seaview Manor.
